The Cool Crispness of Fall is Here!

The Cool Crispness of Fall is Here!

I hope the turning of the seasons is treating you kindly. Up here in the PNW, I’m in my usual headspace for this time of year. Weary of hauling hoses around, so I want some rain but also not looking forward to the darkness of

Transition!

Summer is turning here. We’ve passed the longest day and the garden is bringing on late summer color. Hydrangeas are in full flush and most of the Lilies have peaked. Dahlias are reveling in the heat and blooming profusely. And as various schools begin again

Happy Solstice!

Happy Solstice!

Up here in the rainy northwest, I’m sitting in the darkness of winter. Especially today. It’s been dripping steadily since I woke this morning and not expected to stop until sometime tonight. Which means local areas have river flood watches and mud slide alerts on.
